Welcome to Green Juice
Learning about clean energy can radicalize a person.
You come to realize that we have all the technology we need to put a stop to climate change. We could prevent billions of deaths, countless extinctions, and endless suffering with one weird trick: transitioning away from burning fossil fuels to powering our world with clean, renewable forms of energy. We could usher in a new age of humanity—one defined not by scarcity, but by true abundance for every living being.
...but we're not doing that. At least, not here in America. You can probably guess why.
There's too much money at stake. Ironically, clean energy tech like solar panels, wind turbines, and batteries have gotten so cheap to manufacture, so effective at converting sunlight and wind into electricity, that they're effectively unprofitable.
And so the titans of industry (and the politicians and regulators they purchase) are doing everything in their power to prevent the clean energy revolution from taking hold.
A bunch of dinosaurs dead set on ending the world.
The thing is, we are so much closer to winning the future we deserve than most people realize. Our movement is real and growing. We just need you, reader, to get in on the fun.
It starts with reading some interesting articles with excellent illustrations.
Here are some good places to start:
1. Start with this overview of our energy system's biggest problems and its coolest solutions

2. Clean energy metrics (megawatts, kilowatt-hours, etc) are confusing. This primer makes it make sense.

3. Utility companies suck. But did you know they're actively preventing the clean energy transition from happening? This is why.

4. Unfortunately, climate change isn't the only problem we need to solve. There's a genuine energy crisis coming down the pipeline. Here's what to know.

5. The way we win is by building a powerful movement. I call it Eco-socialism. Here's what that means, why it matters, and how to get involved.

If you've read all those and are hungry for more, I recommend clicking on whatever looks most interesting. Here are some topics we've written about.

And more! Use the dropdown menus at the top of the page, or browse around on the homepage to find more articles.
